Campus Life at Vose
Our campus offers a serene setting to study, reflect and learn in natural bushland surroundings.
Students not only enjoy the peaceful setting of Vose but also the fun of campus life and camaraderie of other students and staff.
Vose is offering an increasing number and variety of distance courses. Distance students are still able to enjoy rich community life via Moodle and other contact opportunites such as intensives .
The Academic Year
The academic year, starting in mid-February and concluding in November, is divided into two semesters. First semester stars in mid-February, second semester in mid-July. In each semester there are 13 weeks of lectures, split with study breaks, followed by exam week.
Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during both the day and night. Each unit is generally a 3hr block per week. Lectures are usually grouped so that students taking one unit only need to come to the seminary for a three hour block each week. Students should allow at least ten hours study per unit per week for the semester. Some units are held as “intensive” units, and run for a week or several blocks of days during the semester.
Visit our Information page for more documents like timetables and calendars.
Each semester here at Vose we encourage all our students to become involved in the Formation Wednesday Program, meeting together as a community in the following ways:
- Guided Spiritual Formation
- Community lunch
This time is a great opportunity to worship together, get to know one another more and share some of our experiences. If you are enrolled in a degree then you are required to participate in a total of four semesters of the programme. If you’re not a degree student or have already completed the required four semesters then you are warmly encouraged to participate as a non-enrolled student.
